Systematic Literature Review of Information Extraction From Textual Data: Recent Methods, Applications, Trends, and Challenges

This study reviews recent advancements in information extraction (IE) techniques, especially for processing textual data. This SLR analyzed 161 recent studies published from 2017 to 2022 provides a focus on core concepts, recent methods, applications, trends, challenges, and future directions in IE from text data. It highlights deep learning models as the state-of-the-art for extracting information from textual sources.
